Agent-to-agent (A2A) authentication
Agent-to-agent (A2A) authentication secures the calls agents make to one another. In multi-agent systems, a request may pass through several agents, so each hop needs to prove its identity and carry the delegation chain that says who it ultimately acts for.
The A2A challenge
- Each agent must prove its own identity to the next.
- The original principal’s authority must travel with the request, scoped and time-bound.
- Any hop must be independently verifiable and auditable.
How MudraID handles A2A
- Verifiable identity for every agent in the chain.
- Scoped, revocable delegation that captures who an agent acts for.
- Per-request verification of signature, identity, and scope at each hop.
- Append-only audit trail across the whole interaction.
